Summary
This study compared two diabetes medications, dapagliflozin and metformin, in over 2,000 people with early type 2 diabetes. The goal was to see which drug better prevents serious complications like heart attack, stroke, kidney disease, and eye problems. Participants had diabetes for less than 4 years and were either new to treatment or on one other drug.
