Summary
This study tests whether a daily dose of D-serine, an amino acid, can slow the progression of Parkinson's disease. One hundred people with early-stage Parkinson's will receive either D-serine or a placebo for 58 weeks, followed by a 12-week break. Researchers will measure changes in symptoms and brain scans to see if D-serine offers any benefit.
