Does age or gender affect pain during a bladder exam? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT07375641

Summary

This study aims to understand how a patient's age and sex affect the pain they expect and feel during their first flexible cystoscopy, a common outpatient procedure to examine the bladder and urethra. Researchers will enroll 150 adults with no prior scope experience to measure their pain levels before and after the procedure. The goal is to gather knowledge that helps doctors better counsel and prepare future patients for this exam.
