Tiny drops, big relief: safer eye exams for kids?

NCT ID NCT06885242

First seen Nov 05, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tested whether using a tiny drop of cyclopentolate (a medicine that dilates the eye) works as well as the standard larger drop for children's eye exams. 63 children aged 4-16 received both types of drops at different visits. The goal was to see if the microdrop causes fewer side effects like fast heart rate or flushing while still giving accurate results.
