NCT ID NCT04266275

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study tests whether curcumin (the active ingredient in turmeric) can help clear HPV infection in women with mild cervical precancer or those recently treated for high-grade precancer. About 200 women will insert a curcumin capsule or a placebo into their vagina once a week for 6 months. After 6 months, researchers will check if the curcumin group has higher rates of HPV clearance and fewer signs of disease returning.
