Could a culturally-tailored therapy ease psychosis in black communities?

NCT ID NCT07252206

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This small study will test whether a culturally-adapted form of cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) is practical, acceptable, and safe for Black Sub-Saharan African and Caribbean people who experience psychosis. Six participants will attend up to 16 therapy sessions and complete questionnaires and interviews to see if the therapy helps and how it feels. The goal is to learn if this approach is worth testing in larger studies.
