CRISPR-Engineered immune cells take on tough blood cancers

NCT ID NCT06492304

First seen Apr 05, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tested a new treatment called CTX131 for adults with certain blood cancers (T cell lymphoma, B cell lymphoma, or acute myeloid leukemia) that came back or didn't respond to standard therapy. CTX131 uses CRISPR gene editing to create donor immune cells that target and attack cancer cells. The trial involved 12 participants and focused on safety and how well the treatment works, with the goal of controlling the disease rather than curing it.
