New combo therapy targets hard-to-treat bile duct cancer

Summary

This study tests adding an experimental drug called CTX-009 to standard chemotherapy (gemcitabine and cisplatin) plus an immunotherapy (durvalumab) as a first treatment for people with advanced bile duct cancer that cannot be removed by surgery. The goal is to see if this combination is safe and helps control the disease. About 50 adults will take part at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
