Blood test may guide smarter immunotherapy for lung cancer patients

NCT ID NCT06426511

First seen Apr 26, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tests whether a blood test that detects tiny bits of cancer DNA can help doctors decide who needs extra immunotherapy after lung cancer surgery. About 80 adults with stage IB-IIIA non-small-cell lung cancer will receive the drug toripalimab only if the blood test shows signs of remaining cancer. The goal is to see if this personalized approach works as well as giving the drug to everyone, while possibly sparing some patients from unnecessary treatment.
