Blood test may speed up chemo decisions for pancreatic cancer patients

NCT ID NCT07096362

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study is testing whether a blood test that looks for tumor DNA (ctDNA) can tell doctors within weeks if chemotherapy is shrinking a patient's metastatic pancreatic cancer, instead of waiting the usual 8 weeks for a scan. About 50 people with newly diagnosed, advanced pancreatic cancer will participate. The goal is to see if this test can help doctors switch treatments sooner for those who aren't responding.
