New scan could map Children's heart defects before surgery
NCT ID NCT07247435
Summary
This study aims to see if computed tomography (CT) scans can improve how doctors diagnose and plan surgery for children with a heart condition called Tetralogy of Fallot. Researchers will enroll 37 children, from newborns up to age 12, who have this condition. The goal is to determine if the detailed 3D pictures from CT scans help surgeons better understand the heart's structure before an operation.
