CT-Guided heart procedure could speed up treatment for dangerous heart rhythm
NCT ID NCT05225935
First seen May 22, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026
Summary
This study tested a new way to treat ventricular tachycardia, a fast and dangerous heart rhythm, in 119 people who had a prior heart attack. The standard treatment uses mapping inside the heart to find and burn the problem spots. The new approach uses a CT scan taken before the procedure to plan the targets. The goal was to see if the CT-guided method could shorten the procedure time while being just as safe and effective.
