First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looks at whether the kind of fluid given through an IV can improve outcomes for people who have had a brain bleed (subarachnoid hemorrhage). About 320 adults will be randomly assigned to receive one of two standard fluids. The main goal is to see if one fluid reduces dangerous blood vessel spasms and brain swelling, which can lead to death or disability.
