Chilling news: can a cold pack make root canals less painful?
NCT ID NCT07403578
Summary
This study is testing if applying cold therapy (cryotherapy) inside the mouth after a numbing shot can make root canal treatment less painful. It will involve 100 adults with a severe, painful tooth infection in a lower premolar. Researchers will compare standard numbing methods to those combined with 5 minutes of cold therapy to see which works better at controlling pain during the procedure.
