First seen May 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looked at 354 men with prostate cancer who chose to freeze half of their prostate gland (hemi-gland cryoablation) to kill cancer cells. The goal was to see how well this treatment controls the cancer and affects quality of life, like urinary function. All patients had advanced MRI and targeted biopsies before treatment to precisely locate the cancer.
