First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looked at whether simple, low-cost blood tests can help track how active ulcerative colitis is. Researchers measured different ratios of blood cells and proteins in 80 patients and compared them to standard colonoscopy and stool tests. The goal was to see if these blood markers could reliably predict disease severity without needing more invasive procedures.
