First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study looked at whether MRI scans can help doctors predict which coma patients after cardiac arrest will recover brain function. Researchers followed 94 patients in the ICU, scanning their brains at different times and tracking their recovery for a year. The goal was to better identify patients with no chance of recovery and to understand how brain damage develops.
