Experimental drug combo offers hope for Tough-to-Treat blood cancers

Summary

This early-stage trial is testing a chemotherapy drug called CPX-351 in people with high-risk myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) or chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML) that came back or didn't respond to standard treatment. The goal is to find the best dose that is safe and to see if it can shrink or control the cancer. About 38 adults will take part in this study at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
