Experimental injection tested to help COVID patients leave hospital sooner
NCT ID NCT04470622
Summary
This study tested whether adding an injectable medication called aprepitant to standard hospital care could help adults recently hospitalized with COVID-19. Researchers compared the drug against a placebo injection in 27 patients to see if it improved recovery and reduced serious breathing complications. The trial was terminated early and did not complete its planned investigation.
