Summary

This study tests whether specially designed messages can correct false information about proposed bans on menthol cigarettes and flavored cigars. Researchers will enroll 1,000 Black adults in Atlanta and Birmingham to complete online surveys over 12 months. The goal is to see if these messages improve knowledge about tobacco industry practices and increase support for flavored tobacco policies.
