Summary
This study tested whether a wearable device called CORE can accurately estimate core body temperature in athletes exercising in hot conditions. Forty highly trained athletes wore the sensor while their real temperature was measured with an FDA-approved pill. The goal was to see if the sensor is a reliable, non-invasive alternative for monitoring heat stress during training.
