Cord blood cells tested to repair Radiation-Damaged lungs
NCT ID NCT07177456
Summary
This early safety study is testing whether cells from donated umbilical cord blood can help treat lung injury caused by radiation therapy for cancer. Researchers will give these cells to 10 patients whose lung damage hasn't improved with standard treatments. They'll monitor for safety and check if the treatment improves breathing, walking ability, and lung scans over 12 months.
