New breathing treatment method tested for lung disease
NCT ID NCT02812979
Summary
This study tested if delivering a common breathing medicine (salbutamol) through a new high-flow nasal system was as effective as the standard mask method for people with COPD. It involved 25 adults with COPD to see if both methods improved their ability to breathe out air. The goal was to see if the new system could be a useful alternative for symptom relief.
