Doctor training may boost COPD medication use

NCT ID NCT07104136

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a special training program for primary care doctors can help people with COPD take their medications more regularly. About 40 doctors will be randomly chosen to either get the training or continue as usual. The training covers updated COPD care, inhaler use, and motivational interviewing. Researchers will then check patients' medication use and flare-ups over 12 months to see if the program made a difference.
