Cooling vests could save weekend warriors from heat stroke
NCT ID NCT07539714
First seen Apr 22, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looks at whether wearing a special cooling vest before exercise can help weekend athletes avoid heat-related problems when working out in hot, humid conditions. Thirty adults who exercise less than three times a week will do moderate exercise in a hot room, with or without the vest. Researchers will measure heart rate, skin temperature, and how hard the exercise feels to see if pre-cooling is a safe and practical alternative to heat training.
