First seen Mar 19, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tested whether wireless monitors that send vital signs like heart rate and oxygen levels to healthcare teams in real time can help patients recover safely at home. 83 adults who were either recently discharged from the hospital or assessed by emergency services but not admitted took part. The goal was to see if the monitors could catch early warning signs of serious health problems and reduce the need for emergency hospital visits.
