First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tested if a computer program (CatInfo) helps cataract patients learn about their surgery before talking to the doctor. 90 adults having their first cataract surgery were split into two groups: one watched the tutorial, the other did not. Researchers measured how much patients knew and how long the doctor's talk took, aiming to see if the tutorial improves understanding and saves time.
