First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tested whether a computer-controlled automatic injection device causes less pain and anxiety in children aged 6-9 compared to a traditional dental needle. 48 cooperative children with no prior dental experience received a numbing shot using either the automatic device or a conventional syringe. Researchers measured pain, anxiety, and behavior using special scales to see if the automated system improves the dental visit.
