First seen Feb 22, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tested whether using computer-assisted 3D-printed guides helps dentists remove extra (supernumerary) teeth in healthy children more quickly and with less cutting than traditional freehand surgery. Thirty-two children took part, and the main goal was to measure how long it took to reach the hidden tooth. The approach aims to make surgery less invasive and reduce recovery time.
