Kindness training may tame menopause symptoms — a trial puts it to the test
NCT ID NCT07728461
First seen Jul 27, 2026 · Last updated Jul 28, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This trial tests whether an eight-session online compassionate living education program can help menopausal women manage symptoms like hot flashes, mood changes, and sleep problems. Participants are randomly assigned to either the program or usual care. Researchers will measure symptom severity, quality of life, self-compassion, and stress levels before and after the program.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- a compassionate living education program based on Mindfulness-Based Compassionate Living (MBCL), delivered online over eight sessions
- What this could lead to
- If effective, this program could offer a low-cost, non-drug option for managing menopause symptoms and improving well-being.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early-stage trial with 68 participants, so results may not apply widely. The program requires online attendance, which may limit participation.
