First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study looks at 300 newborns with congenital heart disease who need help getting blood to their lungs. Doctors are comparing two procedures: placing a small tube (shunt) or a mesh tube (stent) to keep blood flowing. The goal is to see which method leads to fewer serious health problems or death in the first year of life.
