Back surgery showdown: which procedure works best?
NCT ID NCT01024699
Summary
This study compared two different surgical methods for treating a slipped vertebra in the lower back. Researchers wanted to see which procedure—XLIF or TLIF—worked better to reduce pain and improve function over two years. The study involved 55 adults whose back pain hadn't improved with other treatments like physical therapy.
