Heart valve showdown: which replacement works best for small valves?
NCT ID NCT03520101
Summary
This study compares two different types of replacement heart valves for patients whose previous surgical valve has failed and is small in size. Researchers want to see which valve performs better at reducing pressure differences across the valve and preventing valve-patient size mismatch. The trial involves 102 patients who will receive either an Edwards valve or a CoreValve system through a minimally invasive procedure.
