Study finds best way to fix pelvic prolapse without removing the uterus

NCT ID NCT06982157

Summary

This study compared two surgical techniques for treating pelvic organ prolapse in women who wanted to keep their uterus. It followed 111 patients for two years to see which procedure—one done through the vagina and one done laparoscopically—had better long-term results in fixing the prolapse and relieving symptoms. The goal was to help doctors choose the best surgery for each patient based on their individual needs.
