First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study compared two surgical techniques for placing a high undescended testicle into the scrotum in children over 6 months old. Fifty participants were randomly assigned to receive either the newer Shehata traction method or the standard two-stage Fowler-Stephens surgery. The main goal was to see which technique better ensures the testicle survives and stays in the correct position.
