First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looked at 40 children with Hirschsprung disease to compare two types of surgery: laparoscopic-assisted Swenson-like and laparoscopic-assisted Soave pull-through. The goal was to see which technique leads to better bowel function after surgery. Results showed that both surgeries can help, but the study focused on short- and medium-term outcomes like bowel control and soiling.
