Less invasive surgery tested for cervical cancer

NCT ID NCT06836869

Summary

This study is comparing two different surgical methods for treating stage IB2 cervical cancer. Researchers want to see if a less invasive laparoscopic surgery works as well as traditional open abdominal surgery in preventing cancer from returning. The study will follow 524 patients for 4.5 years to compare cancer recurrence rates, side effects, and quality of life after each procedure.
