First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study compared two common surgeries for a specific ankle injury (syndesmosis disruption) that often happens with ankle fractures. About 21 adults with this injury were enrolled to see if screw fixation or suture button fixation leads to better walking patterns. The study measured things like step length, speed, and balance while walking. It was terminated early, so results are limited.
