This study tested two ways of preparing samples from people with suspected bone or joint infections to see which method better detects bacteria. 122 patients having surgery for a possible infection gave samples that were processed either by grinding or by standard lab methods. The goal was to find out which technique is more accurate for diagnosing the infection.
