First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 34 times
Summary
This study looked at 60 people who had their gallbladder removed with small incisions (laparoscopic cholecystectomy). Researchers compared a standard recovery scoring system at 4 hours and 24 hours after surgery to see if patients could be safely discharged earlier. The goal was to understand if a 4-hour check is enough to decide when to go home.
