Artery stiffness showdown: which measurement method wins?

NCT ID NCT06836622

First seen May 10, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study compares three methods of measuring pulse wave velocity, a key indicator of artery stiffness and heart risk. Researchers will enroll 350 adults with high or suspected high blood pressure. Participants will have measurements taken with a neck/groin sensor, a blood-pressure-like device, and a formula, plus wear a 24-hour monitor. The goal is to see which method is most accurate, with no treatment involved.
