Could a simple progesterone shot replace standard IVF drugs?

NCT ID NCT07350317

First seen Jan 28, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study compares a natural progesterone injection (Prolutex) to the standard drug cetrorelix for preventing early ovulation during IVF. About 230 women aged 18-40 will receive either medication to see if Prolutex works just as well. The goal is to offer a simpler, potentially cheaper option for IVF patients.
