Summary
This study compared three oral medications (potassium binders) to see which works best at quickly lowering dangerously high potassium levels in hospital patients. The trial included 37 adults with acute hyperkalemia and measured potassium changes after 2 and 4 hours. The study was terminated early, so results are limited.
