Summary
This study looked at 80 women who had a mastectomy to see which method works better to prevent long-term pain. One group received lidocaine through an IV during surgery, and the other group got a nerve block (ESP block) before surgery. Researchers checked pain levels at 1, 3, and 6 months after surgery to compare the two approaches.
