First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study compares two pacemaker settings in 440 adults with sick sinus syndrome and a slow heart signal. One group gets a newer method that paces the heart's natural electrical system, while the other uses a standard approach that minimizes pacing. The goal is to see which reduces death, heart failure, and irregular heartbeats over time.
