First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looked at 40 children on breathing machines for a severe lung condition called pediatric acute respiratory distress syndrome (pARDS). Researchers compared two methods of measuring oxygen levels to see which one better reflects lung damage. The goal was to find a more accurate tool for doctors to assess how severe the lung injury is, but no new treatments were tested.
