First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looks at the best way to teach nursing students how to insert a nasogastric tube, a common but tricky procedure. About 160 first-year nursing students will be randomly assigned to learn using mixed reality glasses, a video, or a live instructor. Their performance will be tested right after training and again six months later to see which method helps them learn and remember best.
