New pacemaker showdown: which one is kinder to your heart?

NCT ID NCT07534917

First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026

Summary

This study will compare two newer types of pacemakers—leadless pacemakers and left bundle branch pacemakers—to see how they affect heart function and the tricuspid valve. Twenty adults with slow heart rhythms will receive both types temporarily during their routine pacemaker implant procedure. The goal is to learn which pacemaker is less likely to cause heart or valve problems, helping doctors choose the best option for patients.
