NCT ID NCT07255820

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study will test whether adding a third drug (bempedoic acid) to a standard two-drug cholesterol treatment works better and is safe for people with type 2 diabetes who have high LDL cholesterol. About 126 adults aged 35-60 will be randomly assigned to one of three treatment groups for 12 weeks. The goal is to see which combination lowers cholesterol most effectively without causing more side effects.
