First seen Feb 14, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tested three different devices to widen the upper jaw in 36 teenagers aged 10-15 with a narrow jaw. Two devices used small screws anchored to the bone, while the third was a traditional tooth-anchored expander. The goal was to see which device worked best for jaw widening, tooth movement, gum health, and airway changes, measured with 3D scans before and 6 months after treatment.
